Building healthy kids has never been just about what happens inside our gyms. For more than 40 years, American Kids Sports Center has sponsored galas, golf tournaments, skeet shoots, local schools and more, standing behind the foundations and families that make Bakersfield a great place to grow up.

Amelia Molloy's Angels

Infertility support & family grants · Bakersfield

A local foundation with one goal: to make sure no one walking through infertility feels alone. They provide family grants toward fertility treatment, adoption and surrogacy, free monthly support groups, and Comfort Kits for families in the middle of the journey.

How we help: A Blue Jean Sponsor of the Giving the Gift of Family Gala, and back again with a table at the 2026 gala, "You Are the Missing Piece." We're a continuing supporter of this great foundation.

Organ, eye & tissue donation · Bakersfield

Founded in memory of Jeffrey Johns, JJ's Legacy educates Kern County on the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation, grows the number of registered donors, and supports donor and recipient families through programs like Gift of Life and the Got the Dot™ leadership program.

How we help: American Kids supports the annual JJ's Legacy Gala & Golf Classic, and our team serves on the Golf Classic committee.

League of Dreams

Adaptive sports league · Bakersfield

An adaptive sports league giving every child a chance to play. League of Dreams provides sports training, team camaraderie and competitive opportunities to athletes ages 5 to 22 with physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities, in baseball, basketball, cheer and gymnastics.

How we help: Every kid deserves a chance to play, and that's the heart of our own Adaptive Center on Ride St. American Kids is a proud supporter of League of Dreams and the athletes and families it serves.

Stop Drowning Now

Drowning prevention & water safety education

A nonprofit on a mission to reduce drownings nationwide, Stop Drowning Now provides free drowning-prevention lessons, school assemblies and safety materials for kids, parents and educators, plus resources for adaptive and special-needs aquatics.

How we help: As a swim school, water safety is personal to us. American Kids is a Champion Member Supporter of Stop Drowning Now, and we've hosted community Water Safety Days in Bakersfield to teach kids the basics that save lives.

Kern Autism Network

Autism support & education · Kern County

For 30 years, the all-volunteer Kern Autism Network has provided support, awareness, information and education to families, professionals and the public throughout Kern County, working toward advocacy, research, education and inclusion for individuals with autism.

How we help: Many of our adaptive athletes and their families are part of this community. American Kids is proud to support Kern Autism Network's work across Kern County.

Three ways we show up.
